Privacy Policy

Dusty the Digger · Effective date: September 12, 2026

This Privacy Policy describes how Funloop LLC ("Funloop", "we", "our", or "us") handles information in connection with the Dusty the Digger mobile application (the "App"). The short version: Dusty does not collect personal information from anyone. The only information that leaves your device is anonymous usage statistics, described below, with every advertising and identity feature switched off.

Who this is for

Dusty the Digger is an interactive storybook made for young children and is intended to be used with a parent or guardian. This policy is written for the parents and guardians of those children, and for anyone else who uses the App.

Who we are

What we collect

No personal information. The App has no accounts and no sign-in. It does not ask for or collect names, email addresses, photos, contacts, location, or microphone or camera access. It contains no advertising and no tracking.

Anonymous usage analytics

To understand which parts of Dusty children enjoy and to find crashes and bugs, the App uses Google Firebase Analytics in its configuration for children's apps. It records anonymous events such as which scene was played, which friend was chosen, and whether a purchase or the grown-ups gate was completed. It does not use the advertising identifier, does not collect names, email addresses, precise location or contact information, and we never assign a user ID. Advertising features, ad personalization and Google signals are switched off in code and in our Google settings. Firebase assigns the App installation a random identifier so that events from the same installation can be counted together; that identifier is not linked to you or your child and is reset when the App is deleted. Google processes this data on our behalf under Firebase's privacy terms. Analytics data is retained for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated.

In-app purchases

The App offers optional in-app purchases that unlock additional friends for Dusty. These purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. Funloop never receives your payment card details or your Apple ID. When a purchase or a restore completes, Apple tells the App which items your Apple ID owns, and the App keeps a note of that on the device so the content stays unlocked. Every purchase and every restore sits behind a grown-ups gate (a simple arithmetic question) so that a child cannot make a purchase alone. Apple's own handling of purchase data is described in Apple's Privacy Policy.

Information stored on your device

None of this is sent to Funloop or to anyone else. Deleting the App deletes it.

Children's privacy

Dusty the Digger is designed for children under 13. The App collects no personal information from anyone, so it does not collect personal information from children, and we do not knowingly receive any. The anonymous usage analytics described above contain no personal information and are configured with every advertising and identity feature disabled. There are no links out of the App and no advertising. Grown-up areas (settings, information pages, and purchases) sit behind a parental gate. If you believe we have somehow received personal information from a child, email privacy@funloop.com and we will delete it.

How we share information

We do not sell personal information. Two third parties are involved: Apple, which processes in-app purchases and provides the App Store, and Google Firebase, which processes the anonymous usage analytics described above on our behalf. Neither receives personal information from us.

Security

The App keeps only a few preferences on your device, and there is no Funloop server holding information about you. Analytics events travel to Google over HTTPS. Purchase records are protected by Apple's App Store systems.

Your rights and choices

Changes to this policy

If what the App collects ever changes, we will update this policy first, change the effective date above, and, where required, ask for consent inside the App before anything changes.
